The issues that confront Nigeria are as glaring as a bright shining star, and the effects as scorching as the rays from the sun, but some pettifoggers employed by the PDP choose to deliberate on inanities. Initially, when I heard about the certificate matter, I dismissed it as child’s play, a joke, then, the tempo increased, and I was surprised by the incredulity of supposedly educated people, giving credence to what I termed a non-issue. I couldn’t decipher the justification for demanding the educational qualification of a former Governor, Petroleum Minister and Head of State, after years of meritorious service.

Police Force Decorates New Officers

The 17th indigenous Inspector-General of Police, IGP Suleiman Abba, today decorated ten newly promoted Senior Police Officers at the Force Headquarters, Abuja the Nigeria police have announced on their website.

Celebrities Visit EiE's Event For Election Debates 2015

Nigerian celebrities visited an opening party of an advocacy group, Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE Nigeria), where the plans for the debate series of the forthcoming 2015 general elections were announced.
The series, ‘The People’s Debate’, would be held ahead of the February general elections. These debate series has been created to position voters at the centre of the democratic process by reinforcing the narrative that elections and governance are about the people. (Scroll down for photos)

PDP Plans To Attack General Buhari Tomorrow In Ondo—APC

Oyedele said that some aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), threatened by the fast-rising popularity of Buhari in the southwest states have concluded "calculated plans" by organizing youths to attack the convoy that would accompanied its presidential candidate.  The All Progressives Congress (APC) party in Ondo State says it had uncovered plans by members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to attack its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), who would be visiting Akure, the capital city tomorrow (Saturday).

State Coordinator of the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) disclosed this to a SaharaReporters correspondent in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Friday afternoon.
