New Jobs: Buhari And Osinbajo Provide Different Figures

According to The Herald, in the party’s Christmas message released in Abuja and signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, they promised to create 3million year in, year out.

Lagos APC Flags Off Campaign

 The Lagos state chapter of the All Progressive Congress(APC), yesterday flagged off its statewide campaign at the Old Airways Ground (AVMCC) field in Ikeja.
The mega rally which had in attendance big wigs of the party in the state witnessed a massive crowd that came from all the nook and crannies of the mega city.
Present at the rally were former Governor of Lagos state, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babatunde Fashola and his wife, Dame Abimbola Fashola, Lagos state Deputy Governor, Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, former Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Olufemi Pedro amongst others

Reducing pneumonia deaths among children

The abject state of health care, particularly primary health care, in the country has once again been brought to the fore with the revelation that of the 800,000 under-five children who die of pneumonia-related ailments globally every year, 177,000 of the deaths occurred in Nigeria. The im­plication of this is that Nigeria has about 20.13 per cent of the global pneumonia mortality figure. Dr Rui Vaz, the Country Representa­tive of the World Health Organisa­tion (WHO), while reeling out these dismal statistics, observed that the most affected amongst this vul­nerable group are children under two years, especially in developing countries.

Keshi off to USA

Frustrated by the long delay in offering him a fresh contract, out of job former Super Eagles coach Stephen keshi has taken refuge with his family in the United States of America.
The coach jetted out of the country last night and is expected to remain there until after the nations cup. The coach had reportedly rejected a proposal to take a pay cut to guarantee him a fresh contract.
All speculations linking him with jobs in countries like Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, and South Africa had fallen flat.
A source close to the coach disclosed that he was still keen on the Eagles job, but decided to take a break since the NFF was not forth coming on his appointment. Keshi failed to qualify the Eagles for the nations cup and was fired, only to be reinstated by the government.
