It was an ecstatic atmosphere Thursday
afternoon, when students of Ayangburen Primary School, Methodist
Primary School and Oga Primary School, all in the same compound,
thronged the front of its administrative building to canvass for support
for the All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming elections.
A Naij.com correspondent who was at scene of events says the students, numbering about 200, had just been given chairs with desks, school bags
and exercise books and out of appreciation to Jimi Benson (a Federal House of Reps Candidate of the party), who gave out the items, they were all shouting, “Mummy, Daddy, APC ni e d’ibo fun” meaning, “Mummy, Daddy, it is APC that you should vote for”.
Their teachers had a really hectic day trying to disperse the students as they showed energy and enthusiasm in their ‘campaign’.
The representative of the Party at the compound where the schools are located, Jumoke Benson, was moved by the students’ support for the party and promised the children that her husband would do more once he is elected.
“APC! APC” she chanted to a loud roar of “Change!” by the students.
“This is just the beginning. When Jimi Benson wins the election, you shall be made more comfortable than what you are presently seeing. We are really grateful for your support,” she added.
Below more pictures from the event:
It will be recalled that Babajimi Benson, All Progressives Congress (APC) Federal House of Representatives candidate in Ikorodu has promised to bring change to the economy of Ikorodu.
