President Jonathan Campaigns In Jos

Incumbent Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan during his campaign rally in Jos, Plateau State called the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the only truly democratic party.
Crowd of supporters gathered yesterday, January 26th, to welcome President Jonathan and his team in Jos.
Addressing to the Plateau people, Jonathan said: “PDP is the only party that has no owner; it is a democratic group with no landlord and tenant.’’

President added that interior differences in PDP should be determined using its equipment, and warned against the lure to dump to another political party over the least disagreement.

The head of the country continued that disagreements rising from primary elections were “normal in every human situation’’, adding that political parties usually got tougher after resolving such inner problems and disagreements.
Jonathan ordered ex-Plateau governor, Sen. Joshua Dariye, for recurring to the PDP after his halt in the Labour Party and expressed the party’s readiness to be fair to all.
He said that candidates should take benefit of the freedom presented by the rising democratic culture to clinch dialogue to make for more permanent common trust.
President Jonathan challenged Plateau people to work toward reforming the state to its previous status as the most peaceful in country, and underlined the necessity for them to rival leaders like late Solomon Lar and Gen. Yakubu Gowon.
We must collectively fight our problems the way we fought and defeated the Ebola virus that would have been a calamity if it had become pandemic,’’ President said.
Former Minister of Sports Mr. Damishi Sango has recently announced that the people of Plateau State will vote for the ruling party in the general elections because the ruling party was conceived and delivered in the state.
President Jonathan is travelling through Nigeria with his presidential campaign, receiving warm welcome of his supporters.
