The Adamawa House of Assembly has finally confirmed Sa’ad Tahir as the next Deputy governor of the state.
The confirmation of the nomination was in a letter sent to the Assembly.
The House session was presided over by the Speaker, Ahmadu Fintiri on Monday.
The motion was moved by Ishaq Bala(PDP, Yola North) and was seconded by the Deputy Speaker of the house, Kwamoti Laori.
The appointment of Mr. Tahir, a former member of the house of reps, came three months after Mr. Ngilari became substantive Governor of the state.
Monday’s session also confirmed the appointment of Sali Mohammed and Tahir Shehu as commissioners, while the third nominee, Timothy Vimtim, was rejected.
This was the second time that the House has rejected the nomination of Mr. Vimtimas commissioner.
