Policemen Found Human Head In Ebute-Meta


The Lagos State Police Command has announced the recovering of a human head in Olokodana junction in Ebute-Meta area of Lagos.
DSP Kenneth NwosuAccording to Punch Metro, the victim’s head was found at Olokodana junction in the Ebute Metta area, while his body was recovered in Alaka, Surulere, on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the identities of Christmas’ killers were, however, yet to be unravelled by the police.
A lodger, who was passing by the junction around 7am, was said to have raised the alarm, having discovered the head in a pool of blood.
It was gathered that two factions of hoodlums in Ebute Metta – Oto and Olokodana gangs – had since 2010, engaged one another in supremacy battle, which had allegedly claimed no fewer than 20 lives.

Speaking on the matter, a resident in the area, Tunde Adeniyi,
told Punch reporter that Christmas, who used to belong to the Olokodana gang, had abandoned the gang and was planning to leave the neighbourhood on Wednesday before he was killed.
He said, “I saw him packing his luggage on Tuesday. He said he was no longer interested in the clashes, adding that most of the top men in his (Olokodana) group were dead.
The spokesperson of the command, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, informed that the lifeless head was said to have been dropped by unknown persons very early on Wednesday.
Nwosu added that the head has since been deposited in the morgue at Yaba General Hospital, Lagos.
“Efforts are being made to apprehend the perpetrators of the act. “’The murder case has been transfered to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti for further investigation.
“We urge the members of the public not to hesitate to give the police any useful information they have on the incident,” the spokesperson said.
Nwosu also assured the residents of the area and the state that the culprits would be apprehended as investigations were already ongoing.
