Again, gunmen kill taxi driver, 2 others in Bakassi

New Year’s tragedy struck Ikang com­munity in Bakassi Local Govern­ment Area of Cross River State as armed gunmen stormed a filling station at Bakassi and shot three per­sons dead.

Investigations by Daily Sun revealed that the incident oc­curred at about 9pm on Tues­day when the robbers number­ing about seven invaded the petrol station located at Ikang and subsequently opened fire on a taxi cab, killing the driver, popularly known as Santos and two passengers on board whose identity could not be as­certained as a the time of filing this report.
The incident occurred barely one week after bullets from rampaging robbers felled six persons.
Recently, a robbery gang invaded one of the fuel sta­tions located at Palm Street in Calabar South and killed a policeman and three others and made away with some millions of naira.
