Sambo expressed this optimism during a unity and family meeting of the state chapter of the PDP which held at the Hassan Usman Katsina House, Kawo, Kaduna, on Sunday.
The vice president also said he expects 100 per cent victory for the party’s candidates in other elective positions including that of the governor.
According to him, “Kaduna State PDP is the same and one strong family, and I am happy for the promise they have kept and for the promise they have made to us, that Insha Allah, PDP is Kaduna State and Kaduna State is PDP, and PDP will win the elections, come 2015.
“It is only PDP today in Nigeria that has its presence in the state, local government, ward and polling unit levels. This representation is full and strong all over the federation,” he boasted.
Sambo extended President Goodluck Jonathan’s gratitude to Kaduna PDP for its support during the recently conducted National Convention in Abuja, adding that the President was also delighted with the rancor-free primaries held in the state for all elective posts. The vice president advised the aggrieved aspirants to bear in mind that there are no losers or winners, assuring that everyone would be carried along.
“We believe that there are no losers, no winners and no vanquished. Everybody will be carried along. Every party member that participated in our primaries agreed that it is only one person that can be a winner and they have agreed to co-operate and work together,” he said.
Sambo urged faithful in the state to join hands and work assiduously for the victory of the party in the 2015 polls. “This meeting has confirmed to me clearly and truly that we are the same strong indivisible family,” he said.
In his remarks, Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero said at the state level, they have had fruitful discussions with all those that participated in the primaries. “We have been rubbing minds with all of them and also to create understanding and ensure the unity of the members of the party, so that we can face the 2015 elections.
“We have seen a lot of progress and all of us are intact. We are sure that we are going to work hard to ensure victory in the 2015 elections all through, right from the presidential election to the state House of Assembly election.”
Earlier, the Deputy Chairman of the state PDP, Alhaji Isiyaku Aliyu, who represented the Chairman, said the meeting was called at the instance of the vice president.
He urged the gathering to deliver the state to the PDP. He also pledged the support of members to Jonathan and Sambo.
Present at the meeting were the Deputy Governor, Amb. Audu Nuhu Bajoga, Senators Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, Ahmed Aruwa, Mr. Danjuma Lar, and other PDP stalwarts from across the state.
