Fayose Shows Proof That Buhari's London Interview Was Fake

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has released proof to back his claim that Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress,(APC) wasn’t interviewed in London recently Nigerian Bulletin reports.
Addressing journalists Monday February 23 in Abuja, Governor Fayose dismissed the current picture of a purported interview in London of Buhari, describing it as fake, a fabrication on the part of the APC designed to deceive Nigerians.

According to Vanguard, Governor Fayose said the picture was taken in suite 881 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja contrary to claims that they came from an interview in London, adding, “the picture which was widely published by the media was taken in suite 881 at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.”
The Governor yesterday took some journalists to the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja to prove that the photo of Gen Buhari, having an interview with Kemi Fadojutimi on ‘All Eyes on Africa’ TV show was actually conducted in Abuja and not in London like his media aides claimed. He compared the sofa, paintings, table lamp, the flower vase, the lighting points and DSTV magazine in the suite with what was published in the papers.

Atiku Challenges Police Over Killing Of ABU Professor


Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Sunday challenged the Nigeria Police to provide reasonable explanations on the circumstances that led to the murder of Prof. Ahmed Falaki of the Ahmad Bello University, Zaria.
This was disclosed in a statement by his media office in Abuja, The Nation reports.
The professor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria was killed after he had been mistaken for a Boko Haram insurgent.

The former Vice President said the explanation given by the police on the circumstances that led to the death of Prof. Falaki, is an embarrassment to the police.
According to him, the explanation that has been given so far on how Falaki died under police custody falls short of logical assimilation.

Jonathan Speaks About Meetings With Yoruba Obas


A presidential candidate of the PDP, President Goodluck Jonathan, who held meetings with the traditional rulers behind closed doors on Friday and Saturday, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.
The President in a Facebook message said: “Over the weekend, I visited his Royal Highness, the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III. I also visited the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III. At both occasions, I was overwhelmed by the reception given to my entourage and I by the Obas and the people of both Oyo and Ogbomosho.

“The outpouring of love and support I encountered at both cities strengthened my belief in the unity of this great nation, Nigeria. I thank their Royal Majesties and my dear people of Oyo and Ogbomosho for receiving me so graciously. May God bless Nigeria. GEJ.”
Reportedly, Jonathan asked the Obas to support him in his desire to be re-elected. As part of last efforts to win the March 28 elections, President Goodluck Jonathan was asked to sign an undertaking with leaders of the South-West.

The professor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria was killed after he had been mistaken for a Boko Haram insurgent. Details of the situation are still sketchy. Initially it was provided that the police had killed the victim believed to be a militant. However, soon the police said that Prof Falaki had been stabbed by the mob.
