Egypt claims killing dozens of fighters in Sinai

Sources say 47 members of Sinai Province, blamed for deadly raid on security forces in late January, dead in attacks.

Egyptian military air strikes have killed at least 27 fighters in Northern Sinai region in one of the biggest security operations in the region in months, security sources say.

Boko Haram insurgents killed at least 10 construction workers and seized 12 different road construction equipment pieces.

Premium Times reports with reference to a presidency source that Nigeria’s seniors bribe small political parties that are to meet with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Saturday, to discuss possible postponement.

PTDF Produces First Female Pilot From Katsina State

Meet Ruqayya Suleiman who became the first female pilot from Bakori Local Government Area, Katsina State. 
The young woman was in the group of 15 other pilots trained in South Africa under a full Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) scholarship as international-certified commercial pilots.
Ruqayya’s family as well as the woman herself is overjoyed and thanks PTDF for her dream implementation. Ms Suleiman is thought to have broken the cultural barrier by acquiring higher education that is quite unusual for girls from her area.
