Activists Sue Buhari Over Alleged Perjury

Four activists have filed a criminal suit against the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, with an Abuja Magistrates’ Court over false information.

The activists are Shield Jones Ufot, Jimmy David, Ogueri Enwerem and Tochukwu Okorie.
The activists filed a direct criminal complaint through their lawyer, Ugochukwu Ezekiel, at the court.
The complainants named Buhari as the only defendant in the suit.

Ex-LG Boss Leads 6400 PDP Supporters To APC In Sokoto

Latest reports indicate that no fewer than 6400 supporters of the People Democratic Party, PDP, in Sokoto State, northern Nigeria, defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Tuesday.
According to PM NEWS report online, the defecting PDP members were led to the opposition party by a former chairman of Tambuwal local government area, Alhaji Maiakwa Magaji.
Meanwhile, it was disclosed that Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto was on hand to welcome the defectors during his gubernatorial campaign in the area.

It was gathered that the incumbent governor advised the supporters to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voters Card to enable them vote in next month’s general election.

Passengers Miss Flight As Jonathan Arrives Abuja

The road to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport, Abuja, was blocked to allow smooth passage for President Goodluck Jonathan and his entourage and caused many passengers travelling to various destinations across the country early yesterday morning to miss their flights. 

According to Daily Trust, the blockage resulted in a traffic logjam on both sections of the road, as passengers hurrying to catch morning flights were held up for over two hours.
