Future of education secured under Jonathan –PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the nation has witnessed tremendous strides in the education sector under the present administration  in the last four years.
Appraising gains and challenges of the sector, National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Olisa Metuh, in a statement, urged Nigerians to vote for President Jonathan in the 2015 presidential election to guarantee the future of education in the country.

2015 elections: EU, Nigeria sign MoU

In view of the forthcoming 2015 elections, the European Union (EU) and the Federal Government, yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the monitoring of the elections.
The event, which took place at the Tafawa Balewa House, Abuja, had in attendance the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Danjuma Sheni, who signed on behalf of Nigeria, while the Charge d’Affaires of the EU Delegation to Nigeria and the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), Mr. Alan Munday, signed on behalf of the EU.

Supreme Court upholds Kaka’s election

The Supreme Court has confirmed the election of the senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Alhaji Gbenga Kaka.
In a unanimous decision, the Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by Chief Adebisi Adegbuyi against Kaka’s election as a senator for lacking merit.
