South Korea offers high-level talks to North Korea

South Korea has offered to resume high-level talks next month with North Korea on a range of issues, to prepare for a "peaceful unification".

NEMA cautions boat operators on overloading


National Emer­gency Manage­ment Author­ity (NEMA) has urged boat operators and fun seekers on the nation’s waterways not to overload their vessels during the festive season.
The South-West Zonal Co­ordinator of the agency, Mr. Bamidele Onimode, gave the warning in Lagos in an inter­view with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Bankole’s supporters threaten to dump Ogun PDP


Following the failure of the Peoples Demo­cratic Party (PDP) in Ogun to pick the former speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, his loyal­ists and supporters in the state may have concluded plans to dump the party.
Bankole and eight other aspirants had boycotted the last December 8 governor­ship primary election of the PDP in the state.
