Singer Janelle Monáe reveals her cousin was killed by a spray of bullets while sleeping at home


Janelle Monáe, a six time Grammy nominated singer has shockingly revealed that her cousin Natasha Hays, (pictured right) who is also a mother of three was shot dead in a drive-by shooting while she was sleeping in her home, on her bed

Hays, 38 was found by her 14-year-old son Monáe on bed riddled with bullets in her Kansas City home about 4am on Tuesday. Hays is survived by her three sons ages 14, 16 and 18.
 
A distraught and very sad Monáe took to Twitter to share news of her cousin's death, denouncing gun violence and asking followers to 'say her name' and not just count Hays as another death statistic.
 

Police still have no suspects in the homicide, according to reports from Fox 4 .
