Mother of 3 bludgeoned to death by her husband while she slept at their home

31 year old mother of three Giorgina Nigro was allegedly bludgeoned to death on July 22nd by her husband of
 14 years while she slept at their home in New Jersey. Giorgina and Vito Nigro, 42, (both pictured) had been due
 to attend couple's counseling hours before the brutal murder.

Vito, who has three children under 10 with his Giorgina, then tried to kill himself by throwing himself into traffic. He was saved and rushed to the hospital where he remains in a stable condition. He has been charged with murder.

Girogina was allegedly killed by blunt force and sharp force trauma at the hands of Vito, who had just returned from dropping their two daughters off at daycare. It is not known what weapon was used.
