A viral but unfortunate picture surfaced the internet last
night when Zimbabwe’s President, Robert Mugabe on Wednesday, February 4,
fell down from a podium after speaking to supporters upon his return
from Ethiopia.
Mugabe appeared to have missed a step and toppled when he left the raised lectern at the airport on Wednesday afternoon.
His aides were however quick to his rescue and helped him up before escorting him to his limousine which sped away.
However, in what was regarded as not a public matter by President Mugabe’s aides, some press photographers who captured the fall were said to have been forced to delete their pictures by security personnel.

Meanwhile, many Nigerians have been reacting to President Mugabe’s fall on social media. See what they had to say;
Mugabe had visited Ethiopia for the African Union (AU) heads of state summit during which he was elected Chairman of the body. He was elected chair of the 54-nation African Union at a summit of African leaders on 30 January in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role of rotating AU chairperson is largely ceremonial.
