Taiwo Kolawole, deputy speaker of Lagos State House
of Assembly, insisted that the All Progressives Congress (APC)
presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) would win the
elections.

The official shared his point of view during the weekend interview, Daily Independent reports.
He noted that the purported plot by the Presidency to remove the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, before the shifted polls would not stop Buhari from winning.
“…but we are sure that if they bring Judas Iscariot or the devil himself to head INEC, Nigerians would speak.
“With their votes, Nigerians would speak so unambiguously; the election would not be close, it would be almost impossible to rig, God is a Nigerian. God lives in Nigeria and even if the remove Jega, Buhari is going to win this election.
“We are determined and resolute, and as you can see, the slogan has changed from FeBuhari to March for Buhari. We are not only going to march for Buhari, but we are marching for Nigeria.
“The fact that the presidential election would be done with the National Assembly election makes it better because the results would be announced at the collating centres in each area.”
Kolawole expressed discontent with the elections postponement saying it was unacceptable. The speaker insisted that it was connected with the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) fear to lose.
“Why should anybody postpone a general election because of just 14 local governments. It is unacceptable.
“Nigerians have rejected their party. You can go round Lagos and see that Nigerians are resolute, they would not tolerate nonsense from them. Our party, the APC, has decided to keep calm as we did in the governorship election of Osun State.
“We are also working hard and the postponement will only assist us to get deep to the grassroots.”
February 7 the INEC announced the shift of polls for six weeks over security challenges. The new dates are March 28 and April 11.
