The campaign train of the All Progressive Congress Lagos
state governorship candidate Mr Akinwunmi Ambode hits Yaba mainland on
Thursday.
while addressing the people Ambode debunked the rumor that his
administration will displace people living in the Iwaya and Makoko areas
of Mainland local government area of Lagos state.“There is no plan to demolish houses in the Iwaya and Makoko areas of the Mainland Local government areas of Lagos state” he said.
Rather he says his administration would initiate developmental projects and make life comfortable for the inhabitants. “We will construct a canal that will ease the problem of incessant flooding in the area” Ambode promised. He also promised to empower women to start small scale businesses.
Present at the rally were Chief Remi Tinubu,APC lagos central senatorial candidate,Foaud Oki,APC,Vice Chairman Lagos state,Chief Odunmbaku,Chief Henry Ajomale,Chairman APC,Lagos state among others.
It will be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan arrived in Lokoja, the capital of kogi State for the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign.
