Speaking to newsmen in Abuja ahead of today’s NFF executive committee
meeting in Lagos, he said the negotiation for the renewal of Keshi’s
contract is already ongoing between the chairman of the
technical committee of the NFF, Felix Anyansi and the coach with the former expected to recommend to the board based on the decision of their committee. He assured that all the issues concerning the head of the technical crew of the Super Eagles will be soon put to an end stating that the board is not interested in rushing to take decisions so as to avoid making mistakes.
“The chairman of the technical committee is discussing with Stephen Keshi and he is going to recommend to the board the decision of his committee. Like I keep saying, contract is not signed over night. “Nigeria, we have a peculiar nature and we don’t want a situation whereby we will run into problems.
“We made offers and he said he doesn’t like them and sent it back to us and it has gone all the way to the legal department to look at the implication.”
