David-West challenges Fani-Kayode, Oladipo, Osuntokun to public debate over Buhari

Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Prof. Tam David-West, has challenged the trio of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Prof. Wale Oladipo and Prof. Akin Osuntokun to a public debate over the presidential ambition of General Muhammadu Buhari.

The former minister and retired university teacher said if the three personalities refused to subject themselves to public debate with him, they should henceforth shut up and stop lying to Nigerians.
David-West, who expressed disgust on what he called ‘nonsensical and blatant lies’ being issued to the public by the duo of Fani-Kayode and Oladipo, urged the two personalities to stop deceiving Nigerians.
“I wonder what type of a Prof. Wale Oladipo is. He called General Buhari a ‘semi-illiterate’ soldier. I wonder how he assessed his students as a professor. Buhari was a student of American War College and had attended many other courses during his active service as a soldier, yet he called him a ‘semi-illiterate’. So, I wonder how he assessed his students.
“A professor should be true to his words and factual about his utterances and actions. So, what he said was nonsensical and disgusting,” the retired professor of Virology said.
On the recent outburst of Fani-Kayode regarding the certificate of Buhari, the former minister described Fani-Kayode as a liar, saying he quoted the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) Act upside down.
“Fani-Kayode is a liar. INEC Act never says he should produce his school certificate. What the Act says is that a presidential candidate should ‘read up to school certificate.’ Apart from the fact that Buhari attended America War College, he was also a Cadet of the Nigerian Army.
“They must be ashamed of themselves for issuing out lies to the electorate. They are jittery with the increasing popularity of Buhari. I challenge them to a public debate. I will tell them who Buhari is. He is the man that can do the job. A clean man and by God’s grace, the man that will fix Nigeria,” David-West stated.
The former minister said Osuntokun had also been writing ‘cheap and nonsensical things’ about Buhari and therefore challenged him to a public debate if he was sure he was writing the truth.
“I say they should shut up. Nigerians don’t believe their tissue of lies again. Fani-Kayode used to praise and eulogise Buhari when he was in the All Progressives Congress (APC) before joining the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). What a shame!” he added.
