Why we endorsed Oduah for Senate – PDP chieftain

The former chairman of the People’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, Chief Frank Oramulu, has said that stakeholders and people of Anambra North Senatorial zone endorsed Princess Stella Oduah to represent the zone in the Senate because she is the only person who can offer them effective representation.

Chief Oramulu stated this yesterday at Akili Ozizor, Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, when Princess Oduah hosted the traditional rulers, chiefs and the president-generals in the senatorial zone to a Christmas party at her country home.
Chief Oramulu who was a frontline labour leader in the country in the 80’s, said it was only Princess Oduah, who can go to Abuja and bring what is due to the Anambra North Senatorial zone, saying that they endorsed her for the race because she is the most competent.
He said that virtually all the local governments in the senatorial zone have taken their turns to represent the zone in the senate, starting that from former President of Nigeria, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe from Onitsha, Dr. Chuba Okadigbo from Ogbunike in Oyi Local Governemt Area, Mrs Joy Emodi from Onitsha and Chief Alphonsus Igbeke from Nsugbe in Anambra East.
He said that with all these areas in the zone having gone   to the Senate one time or the other, it is now the turn of Ogbaru Local Government to go to the upper chamber to represent the Senatorial zone.
Chief Oramulu said that it was also very instructive that the Ogbaru people will produce the Anambra North Senator under the umbrella of PDP, not the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as the party is at the verge of its demise.
He said Anambra North will never make the mistake of producing a senator who cannot talk on the floor of the Senate or get closer to the grassroots and the constituents as has been the case with those who have represented in the past.
Oramulu said that Princess Oduah as a former Aviation Minister made it possible for Ndigbo to own international airport in Enugu, apart from the refurbishing of various airports in the country, a feat she would bring to bear when she becomes the senator representing the zone in the Senate in 2015.
The former PDP boss said if Princess Oduah goes to the Senate, the people of Anambra North Senatorial zone should go home and sleep because, they are sure she will perform.
He then charged the people of the zone especially the PDP members to take Princess Oduah’s senatorial project as a challenge and spread the gospel to every nook and cranny of the senatorial zone.
He warned that the electoral contest will not be easy and that is why everybody must work hard to make the project realizable.
