The gift items, which were presented at Nukkai Primary School, Jalingo was received on behalf of the government by the Head of Service, Government House, Jalingo, Mallam Aminu Jika, who appreciated the gesture, and used the occasion to harp on the need for unity and peace in Nigeria for sustainable development.
Earlier in his speech, TAN’s national coordinator, Chief Ben Chuks said the gesture was to ameliorate the suffering of those in camps, maintaining that President Goodluck Jonathan was committed to the development of Nigeria, being very compassionate and currently doing everything possible so that all Nigerians taking refuge in camps could go back to their ancestral homes.
Taraba State coordinator of TAN, Mr. James Benjamin also used the occasion of the gift presentation to further urge the people of the state to support President Jonathan so that more dividends of democracy could be delivered to them.

The governorship aspirant on the platform of the people Democratic
party (PDP), in Taraba state, Arch Darius Dickson Ishaku has promised
to develop the state’s enormous natural deposits if voted to power
come 2015.
Ishaku stated this yesterday while addressing newsmen in Takum. He
said Taraba is blessed with abundant natural resources yet to be
tapped, there by promising to use his wealth of experience and
connections to woo investor to state for possible investment in human
and infrastructural development.
‘Taraba is blessed with everything nature has, that is why it is
called nature’s gift to the nation. If taraba state supplies only
coffee to Nigeria, the state will earn more the oil money they are
giving us. I think there is a need for us to have a paradigm shift’’
said he.
Other area of corcen which he hopes to look into if voted into power
are the Architectural development, provision of portable water,
constant electricity supply that would aid the economic transformation
of the state maintaining that has polices with take care of the
yearnings and aspiration of tarabans as he plans to run a
transparent, all inclusive administration.

The Transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) has donated items worth
millions of naira to the Taraba State Government for onward
distribution to victims of insurgency and communal conflicts currently
taking refuge in Jalingo.
