Flying Eagles’ coaches get 10 months pay


It was a huge festive cheer for coaches of the Nigeria U-20 team, the Flying Eagles, as they were finally paid their salaries for the past 10 months.
A top Nigeria Football Federa­tion (NFF) official informed Afri­canFootball.com the coaches had  received their long-awaited sala­ries.

Head coach, Manu Garba is on a million Naira a month, while his assistants, Nduka Ugbade and Fancy Ewulu are each on half that amount.
However, efforts were now be­ing made to improve the pay of the assistants.
The Flying Eagles were drawn against hosts Senegal, Congo and Cote d’Ivoire in the 2015 African Youth Championship, which kicks off in Dakar on March 8.
They resumed a training camp in Kaduna on Saturday.
