Abu Dhabi friendly: Eagles’ players get December 30 deadline

Super Eagles technical crew currently led by assistant coach, Dan Amokachi have sounded a note of warning to all invited home based stars for the now altered January 12 and 17 friendlies against Cote D’Ivoire and Sudan, that they must report to the Bolton White Apartment, Zone 7, Abuja on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. According to a release by the team’s Media Officer, Ben Alaiya, he stated that the warning was made by the team administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor, who said he was making the clarifications as some of the players were still thinking that the team will converge last Sunday, December 28. “We have done a release from the NFF to that effect but we must again re-emphasis that the team will come together by January 30th and all players and officials must take note”, he said.

Meanwhile, it was another memorable time for the national team at the weekend, as former Rangers International of Enugu winger and the MVP of the last CHAN tourney in South Africa, Ejike Uzoenyi, who now plays for South African top side Memolodi Sundowns walked down the aisles in Enugu. He took his lovely heartthrob, Chioma Loveth Uzoenyi to the alter at an impressive ceremony in the Enugu State capital. And as has become traditional with the NFF, the football federation was well represented with Chidi Nwantu, Dayo Enebi Achor, the national team administrator, Okey Obi and national team coordinator, Emmanuel Atta fully in attendance. “It was an impressive ceremony and the NFF will continue to support its players who want to move to the next level, as this is the second wedding under a week and we are happy that our players are taking the responsibility route,” Achor quoted the NFF President, Melvin Amaju Pinnick as saying.
