Udensi made the pledged on Saturday at the Igbotonma festival held at Igbere Secondary School in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
Udensi, who acknowledged the benefits of the age long event to communities and societal well being, said: “I am here today to celebrate with our mothers and fathers who have attained the age of traditional retirement from active service. This epoch event which is held every three years is symbolic as it affords indigenes of the community the opportunity to execute landmark projects in commemoration of their retirement.”
The aspirant said the government of Governor T. A. Orji had committed a crime against the people having held the state to ransom in the past seven years.
“He runs the state as a private family business, setting the state backwards among others. Bad roads, heaps of refuse, unpaid workers salaries, and embargo on recruitment, misappropriation of funds and political intimidation are the celebrated legacy achievements of the present administration.
“Our State, Abia is blessed with human resources, especially in the form of entrepreneurship acumen and this has been our strength over the years. If given the opportunity to serve as governor, my focus will be industrial revolution, which will not only generate employment opportunities but also boast the local economy,” he said.
At the event, attended by top government officials, traditional rulers, politicians and youths, he however re-affirmed its party’s passion for the well being of the people.
Udensi urged voters to remain steadfast and focused in the fight for a good government that would meet the yearning of the people in 2015
In a similar development, Chief Udensi also urged the youths and the elders in the state to resist any form of manipulation in the 2015 general elections.
He made the call at the weekend during a stakeholders’ meeting with youth organizations and elders at his Arochukwu country home, Abia State.
The duo of Chief Okey Kalu and Dr. Ike Obialo who spoke on behalf of the elders and youths respectively, assured the aspirant of their unflinching support while promising to educate the people on the positive effects of free, fair and credible elections.
