Two deadly armed robbers met their waterloo on Christmas day as they were shot dead by the police in Warri, Delta State.
Daily Sun gathered that the notorious robbers were killed during an exchange of gunfire with a police patrol team attached to the ‘B’ division in Warri Delta State.
Witnesses said nemesis caught up with the criminals believed to have come from Usieffurun village in the outskirts of Warri where it was suspected they had gone on a raid but the police patrol team ambushed them in sending them to their early graves.
One of the gang leader identified as ‘Tompolo’ and another called ‘London Progress’ and his cohorts were believed to be behind series of robberies in Warri and environs.
Investigation revealed that their evil plans to escape was stopped at Apala Street Junction, Warri and several dangerous weapons were recovered from them.
In a similar operation, two of a 3 robbery gang who robbed a woman at Ugborikoko, Warri of unspecified amount of money were arrested but one escaped.
According to the Area Commander, Delta South Senatorial District, ACP Hussaini Rabiu who confirmed the story, said one of the robbers is called Festus Debbie, explaining that most of the criminals terrorizing Warri and environs were from Usieffurun and other areas.
He warned that his men will continue to flush out hoodlums in his jurisdiction.
