Protesters stormed the Lagos office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today, November 10, to oppose the careless delivery of the permanent voter’s cards (PVC) in the state.
The activists carried placards.
The protesters chanted solidarity songs and promised that they would never allow elections to be fixed in the state.
Scores of policemen equipped with guns ensured that the protest did not debauched into violence.

“INEC must ensure that the PVCs get to the people and they should not attempt to rig the election. Those in power know that there will be protest votes in 2015 and that is why they are trying to rig the election,” he said.

However, governorship APC candidates in Lagos State, lawmakers at the House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly have raised alarm over the poor distribution of the PVCs in their areas, with some supposing that it could be a trick by both the INEC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to exclude the people of the state ahead of 2015.
