Enyeama short-listed for BBC African Footballer of the year

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has released the shortlist of players to vie for the 2014 African Footballer of the Year Award, with Super Eagles captain, Vincent Enyeama, the only Nigerian in the list.Nigerian Vincent Enyeama, made the list alongside Title holder, Yaya Toure, who has been nominated for six consecutive years, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Yacine Brahimi, and Gervinho.

Goalkeeper Enyeama, who played in the last 16 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Nigeria, went for the event off the back of an outstanding campaign for French club Lille, where he kept 21 clean sheets in the last league season.
. the organizers of the award, the winner will be decided by fans of African football, who have until 18:00 GMT on Monday, 24 November 2014 to vote for their choice.
Austin Okocha is the only Nigerian to have won the award since inception having finished tops in 2003 and 2004
