Obi’s defection to PDP is non-issue –Obiano

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has described the defection of his predecessor, Peter Obi to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a non-issue.
He said the former governor came to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) alone and had left alone.

This was just as a PDP stalwart in Nnewi South Council Area yesterday defected from the PDP to APGA.
Governor Obiano, who was represented by his political Liaison Officer in Nnewi South Local Government Area, John Ekemezie, at the declaration of a PDP chieftain in Amichi, Dr. Jeff Okeke, for the APGA, said the party had become stronger than ever before, as many more new members were trooping into the party ahead of 2015. He said there was no cause for alarm because of a single man’s defection, stressing that APGA remained a peaceful party.
Speaking also on Obi’s defection, another APGA member in the council area, Chief Charles Elukeme, described politics as a game of interest, saying it was unfortunate that a man would build a house
