Funke Kuti and her ex-husband musician Femi Kuti took this warm photo
together at Felabration-2014 event, a week-long concert which celebrates
the life of Afrobeat legend, Fela Kuti. It was held at the Shrine in
Ikeja throughout last week and ended on October 19. Funke and Femi Kuti were separated some years ago and they were officially divorced in 2012. They both have a son together, Made Anikulapo-Kuti.
However the reason for the breakup of the marriage wasn’t discovered it was stated that Femi’s sister, Yeni Kuti had a hand in it.
It’s hard to make a census of Femi Kuti‘s kids right know, the three-time Grammy Awards applicant has fathered several from different women and he has said repeatedly he’s no longer interested in marriage.
Thou their marriage collapsed years ago but Femi and Funke are still best of friends. It is rare to find lovers of today, who had separated for one reason or the other, come out to take such pics.
The former love birds look so great together. We wish their marriage had worked.
