Gunmen attacked Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) on Friday night.
Three students were shot and badly
injured. They were rushed to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital
(UNTH) on Saturday morning, where they are said to be in critical
condition.
The incident occurred at the Unique Hostel at the university, The Nation reports.
To prevent a reprisal attack, school
authorities have tightened security around the hostel, and others in the
vicinity of Agbani Permanent site of the university.
It is suspected that the gunmen are members of a secret cult.
