Reno Omokri Faults Buhari’s London Speech

Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, has faulted claims by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, that Nigeria’s economy is not in good shape.

Reno Omokri who was reacting to Gen. Buhari’s speech at the Chatham House, London, today February 26, where Buhari spoke on an array of issues affecting Nigeria.

Jonathan Promises Not To Disappoint Nigerians

President Goodluck Jonathan has pledged that he would not disappoint Nigerians in the task of rendering quality services.

The President made the promise at the Aso Rock Villa on Thursday, when he had an interactive with members of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Alumini Association, of which he is a member.
“I promise you that the day I leave office, you will be proud alumni of the UNIPORT. I will not disappoint you. I will not disappoint Nigerians.”

Don Jazzy Gives Out Items Worth Half A Million To Celebrate Endorsement

Multi award-winning record producer, CEO of Mavin Records, Michael Collins Ajereh, known as Don Jazzy, has given out items worth half a million naira to his followers on Twitter, in celebration of his and Tiwa Savage’s endorsement deal with online shopping site, Konga.

The leader of the Supreme Mavin Dynasty (SMD) announced on his Twitter handle, on Wednesday, that his followers should follow Konga, visit the website and munch image of any item they want and send it to him, using the Hashtag Konga (#Konga), with a pledge to buy for some selected people.

Father Sells His 14-Month-Old Son For N300,000

The father of four, George Maduabuchi, from Owerrinta in Isialagwa South council of Abia State has been taken into custody for allegedly selling his 14-month-old son for N300,000.

According to Punch, the middle aged palm fruit cutter connived with another suspect, Obinna Erondu, to commit this cruel act.
Commissioner of Police, Joshak Habila, who paraded the suspect along with other criminals, said that luck ran out on him when a worried wife alerted the police over the questionable disappearance of their sick baby.

APC Says Jonathan To Remove Jega Next Week

‎Attahiru Jega, chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) will be directed to proceed on terminal leave next week, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senators caucus in the national assembly has said.

Speaking at a press conference at the national assembly complex in Abuja on Thursday, George Akume, former governor of Benue state and senate minority leader, who represents Benue west, said the APC have received information that the head of service would direct Jega to proceed on terminal leave next week.

Lawyers Walk For Change in Ikorodu

A non-governmental group tagged, “Lawyers4Change” on Saturday, 21 February, went round the whole of Ikorodu, Lagos state, southwest Nigeria, to encourage people to come out and vote for the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the forthcoming elections.
The group, comprising of legal practitioners from different parts of the country, stated that they are neither members of the ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, nor were they affiliated to the opposition.
Rather, they said that they were in support of their legal icon, Professor Yemi Osinbajo- running mate of Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.)- whom they claimed was responsible for the cleansing of the judiciary in Lagos state when he was the Attorney-General for eight years.
