Fasehun Blasts Buhari, Says What Will Happen If Elected

The founder of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Dr. Fredrick Fasehun, has condemned the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari and went ahead to reveal what will happen to Nigerians if elected.

Fasehun made the revelation on Thursday in Akure, at a ‘post-National Conference Summit, 2015 Elections and the Yoruba Nation,’ organised by the South-West Campaign Coordinator of President Goodluck Jonathan, Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State.

The elder statesman revealed that if Buhari emerges the country’s next President in March 28 presidential poll, he will be a nightmare to Nigerians as he will introduce government of dictatorship to the detriment of all.
Fasehun, who is also the National Chairman of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) therefore appealed to his kinsmen, the Yoruba both in South-West and other parts of the country to reject Buhari at the forthcoming election.
He insisted that Nigerians, especially the Yoruba should be wise enough not to vote for Buhari, noting that four years of Jonathan-led administration is better than eight years of nightmare under Buhari.
According to him, UPN adopted President Jonathan as its presidential candidate because of his achievements in office.
“President Jonathan is the only good thing that can happened to Nigeria now; it is either Jonathan in this election or nothing,” Fasehun said.
The UPN national chairman, who condemned the APC presidential candidate for cancelling the $50 million Lagos Metroline Project, 24 hours after becoming Head of State in 1984, disclosed that the rail project was designed by the Lateef Jakande administration to alleviate the transportation challenges in the state.
Fasehun also stated that if Buhari had found any incriminating evidence in the house of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, when he ordered it searched during his tenure as head of state, nobody knows what would have happened to the renowned Yoruba leader.
Speaking also at the event, co-founder of OPC, Chief Gani Adams, said what the Yoruba needed to do now is to vote for a leader who will implement the resolutions of the 2014 National Conference.
Adams also pleaded with Yoruba leaders to take it upon themselves to educate their kinsmen on what they will benefit from the implementation of the resolutions of the National Conference, as well as the need to vote for a leader that believes in the Confab Report.
Recall that the elder statesman Fasehun recently defended the constitutional rights of President Jonathan and hinted what could happen if trampled on and went ahead to explain why General Buhari cannot rule Nigeria again.
