The Federal Government has reopened First Consultant Hospital in
Obalende, Lagos where Liberian Patrick Sawyer, the first case of Ebola
in Nigeria, died from complications of the disease.
In a letter sent to the Lagos state Ministry of Health, the Federal Government said after having undergone three rounds of state-certified decontamination processes according to world standard, the hospital is free to continue its business of administering health care to patients.
The hospital was closed over a month ago after Patrick Sawyer died there. Dr Adadevoh and nurse Ejelonu got infected in the hospital and also later died.
