I Am Going To Save The Economy As I Did In 1983 – Buhari

 Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari, has told Nigerians that he will get her out of its current economic troubles.
In statement released by the director of media and publicity of the APC presidential campaign organisation, Garba Shehu, the APC campaign codemned the “panicky and uncoordinated management of the national economy by President Goodluck Jonathan and his economic team”.

“It is apparent that the Federal Government has suddenly found itself in a bind with plummeting crude oil prices in the international market, but typical of a team that lacks capacity for anticipatory actions, the Federal Government has been running from pillar to post in a vain bid to stabilize the economy. Unfortunately, all conceived palliatives applied to save the nation’s declining economic indicators have merely scrapped the surface of the problems leaving the mass of Nigerians desperate, confused and hungrier.”

Another PDP Member Tears Up His Card

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo seems to have started a new trend in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Obasanjo, who dumped the party few weeks back in a well publicised ceremony, gleefully asked the PDP ward chairman in his domain to tear up his party membership card in the full glare of the media and his supporters.

While Obasanjo’s action was still eliciting reactions from political stakeholders and commentators, the senior special assistant on security to Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe state, Alhaji Abdullahi Babangida Muhammad,  who dumped the PDP for the opposition, All Progressives Congress (APC), also decided to go the Obasanjo way.

Interestingly, another member of the party, Yunusa Halid, recently tore up his membership card, while announcing  his defection to the APC.
Halid, a youth leader in New Karu, Nassarawa state carried out the political ‘ritual’ in the presence of a large number of his followers.

The picture apparently shows the Portuguese star campaigning for the president of Nigeria, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, for the 2015 presidential election. The picture is causing controversies on social media, however, as some say the picture is a Photoshop image. Others agree that Ronaldo could be campaigning for Nigeria’s incumbent president.

Pastor Adeboye Loses Sister

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye has suffered a great loss!
According to Kemi Filani, Pastor Adeboye has lost his eldest sister, Esther Adetoun, who was 83.
Pastor Adeboye and his sister were said to be very close before the death. She passed away on the February 11 from natural causes, and was buried on February 13 and 14 in Ifewara, Osun state, a village that the now Osun state governor had promised to give a local government council but till now has not done so.

For the first time since the controversy started, his wife, Aisha Buhari has opened up about her husband’s health status.

Aisha, who spoke to The Guardian at the Westminster Plaza Hotel, London on Saturday night, after APC team’s interactive reception with Nigerians in the diaspora said her husband was hale and hearty.

Patience Jonathan Ordered The Killing Of A Policeman - Amaechi

Rivers State Governor and the current Director General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Organisation, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that the First Lady, Patience Jonathan, authorized the killing of a policeman in Okrika Rivers State.
He revealed this during his visit to Politics Today on Channels TV, hosted by Seun Okin.

Amaechi began by addressing the allegation by the PDP Director of Media, Femi Fani Kayode, that the APC is planning to rig the election.

World Bank Laughs At Soludo - Jonathan Finally Replies

Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, last week used an interview with a Nigerian newspaper to reply to former Central Bank governor Charles Soludo’s accusation that the federal government had failed to account for at least N30 trillion.
Jonathan said that Soludo’s remarks were politically motivated and said that Soludo’s academic standing was ridiculous.
