PDP Youth, Norther Civil Society Campaign For Jonathan


 In its bid to mobilise Nigerian youths for the realization of the second term bid of President Goodluck Jonathan/Namadi Sambo, the Directorate of Youth Mobilisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation on Wednesday, held an interactive session with Non-Government Organizations, NGOs and Civil Society Organisations based in the north in the historic city of Kaduna.
The event which was held at the Quarters House Hotel, Kaduna, was attended by at least 35 leaders of civil society organizations and major NGOs in northern Nigeria.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were the National youth leader of the PDP, Rt. Hon Abdullahi Maibasira, Kaduna state PDP youth leader, Hon. Boniface Garba, the Senior Special Assistant to President Jonathan on Students’ and Youth Matters, Jude Imagwe and Safiya Ibrahim.

In his welcome address, the convener of the interactive session, Rt. Hon Maibasira thanked the leaders for taking time out to be part of the event.

Three Fulani herdsmen who decided to abandon their trade of tending their cows and instead pursue a life of crime, have been arrested the police in Sabo area of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, for armed robbery.

14-Year-Old Boko Haram Escapee Recounts Ordeal

A 14-year-old boy simply identified as Alaji has narrated his ordeal in the hands of the dreaded Boko Haram sect.
Alaji, who is from Kerenua was abducted by the insurgents in an early morning invasion, where security forces were attacked and homes destroyed, Channels TV reports.
Recounting what happened, Alaji said two men on motorcycle abducted him at gun point and took him to a town where he saw hundreds of fighters of the terrorist group as well as many captives. At the camps, they were set in different groups.
