Angry Osinbajo Reacts To 2015 Election Postponement

The 2015 elections postponement did not go down well with the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who took to his Facebook page to express his disappointment.
An angry Osinabjo yesterday, wrote on his Facebook wall:

“If all the forces of Nigeria come together and say we cannot guarantee security in Nigeria for 2 days – February 14th and 28th, something is wrong”

The decision by the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Jega, to postpone the presidential and National Assembly elections to March 28, and the gubernatorial and State House of Assembly polls to April 11, did not only anger Professor Osinbajo but likewise his party, the All Progressives Congress.

Nigeria’s Senate President David Mark has reacted to the postponement of the country’s general polls earlier scheduled for February 14.

Mark in a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, said the postponement was necessary because it will calm the fears and tension accompanying the conduct of the 2015 general elections.

Boko Haram Launched An Attack On Niger, Kill One

Nigerien army has repelled the attack by armed Nigerian Boko Haram group on a prison over the border with Nigeria overnight.
According to the AFP, the raid was the third on the Niger border town of Diffa in four days and comes as Niger parliament is due to vote on whether to join a regional offensive against the insurgents.
