President Goodluck Jonathan’s Special Adviser on
Inter-Party Affairs, Ben Obi, has given details of how his office
packaged the meeting at which a non-violence pact was signed by the presidential aspirants and leaders of the political parties ahead of the February polls.
The presidential aspirants of the seven political parties, comprising incumbent President Jonathan from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and his key opponent from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari, as well as the leaders of all the listed parties, signed the accord to guarantee violence-free elections next month.
