2015: Don’t return Rivers to dark years –Amaechi


Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi, has urged people of the state not to allow the state return to the era of criminality and other social vices.
Amaechi made the appeal during his New Year broadcast to the people of the state, enjoining them to make good use of the 2015 general elections and vote wisely.

Taraba: Police parades 59-year-old man for defiling under-age girls


Taraba State Police Command yesterday in Jalingo paraded a 59-year-old man for raping two under-aged girls.
Parading the suspect (name withheld) with other criminals accused of housebreaking, theft and forgery before newsmen at the police headquarters, Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ademola Omole, said offenders were apprehended with stolen items such as electronic devices by the men of the special anti robbery squad (SARS) on a routine patrol.
