Dangote slashes cement price to N1,000 per bag

In a move that will raise the stakes in the rapidly evolving Nigerian cement market, leading cement manufacturer, Dangote Ce­ment Plc, has announced huge cuts in the price of the essential product.
The new price regime an­nounced by the Group Manag­ing Director of Dangote Cement, Mr. Devakumar Edwin, pegged the Dangote 32.5 cement grade at N1,000 per 50 kg bag, while the higher 42.5 grade is to sell for N1,150 per bag.

British banker charged over bloody killings at luxury Hong Kong apartment

A British investment banker has been charged with murder in Hong Kong over the killings of two young Indonesian women at a high-rise apartment in the heart of the densely populated city.

One of the victims was discovered stuffed inside a suitcase on the balcony of the 31st-floor apartment. The other was found lying inside with cuts on her body.

Jail break in Kogi state, 144 freed, 1 inmate killed, 12 re-arrested

Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members yesterday night November 2nd attacked Koton-Karfi federal prison in Kogi state, freeing 144 inmates. One inmate was reportedly killed during the prison break.

The Koton-Karfi prison authorities later said 12 inmates that escaped during the jail break have been re-arrested.

Jenny Quiles was 33 weeks pregnant when she was hit by a tow truck on her way to a doctor’s appointment. The woman suffered a severe brain injury and lapsed into a coma. Several hours later she began having contractions after waking up. Fortunately, she gave birth by C-section to a healthy 2,72kg baby girl named Angel Noemi Quiles. Doctors have described the baby as a “miracle”. Jenny can move her arms and legs, and can respond using her eyes.
