Akwa Ibom guber: I can’t step down for Udom Emmanuel –Ntekim

The immediate past at­torney general and commissioner for jus­tice in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Ekpenyong Nte­kim, has said he will not step down for the former secre­tary to the state government (SSG), Mr. Udom Emmanuel, or any other gubernatorial aspirant in the state.

2015: 5 Enugu commissioners, SAs resign to contest elections


Five commissioners in the Enugu State executive council have resigned their appointments to enable them contest different po­sitions in the forthcoming general elections in the state.
Those, who resigned are Chukwuka Utazi, com­missioner for transport; Dr. Chukwuemeka Ujam, com­missioner for lands; Joe Ma­mah in charge of ministry of tourism as well as Ikechukwu Ugwuegede, commissioner for capital development au­thority.

Police arrest customs officer over daughter’s death

A senior customs of­ficer (name with­held) was yesterday arrested by the po­lice in Meran area of Ijaye, Ojokoro, Lagos State, over his alleged involvement in the mysterious death of his 17-year-old daughter and for reportedly beating his wife to a state of coma.
