Lagos-City-On-EarthWhen my employer relocated me from Lagos to Abuja, I didn’t see it as much of a big deal. After all I had spent my early childhood and teenage years in Lagos, visited at least once every year and still maintained a good number of friends in the city. I was pretty sure living in Lagos wouldn’t be much different from living in Abuja (asides for the traffic congestion.)

There were reports earlier today that controversial former House of Reps member, Dino Melaye got married for the third time to a lady named Christy who is from Owerri, Imo state. Dino went on twitter this afternoon to deny the report.

Senate approves GEJ's $1billion loan to fight Boko Haram


The Senate has approved the $1billion (N165bn) loan requested by President Jonathan in July to help in the fight against terrorism and tackle insecurity in the country. The loan would be used for the purchase of military equipment and the training of military personnel.

EFCC arraigns fishermen for fishing in unauthorized waters


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday September 24th arraigned six fishermen Adekunle Oshingbosi; Momodu Ibrahim; Idowu Tuesday; Togbosi Christian; Benjamin Eyinle; Anthony Medoho,  and their company, Oshine Resources Ventures Limited before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for allegedly fishing in unauthorized waters.

Jordan court clears Abu Qatada of bomb plot charges, orders his release
