Nigeria actress "Ayo Adesanya" says : 'I don't bleach, what I have is sun burn'

A
ctress Ayo Adesanya says contrary to popular reports, says she doesn't bleach her skin. In an interview published on Punch today, Ayo said what she has is sun burns which most people confuse for skin bleaching ...
"No I do not bleach my skin. When you see somebody that bleaches, you will know. I have sun burns and it is not a hidden thing. I have tried a lot of things to make it fade away but it has refused and I have come to terms with it. I would never bleach my skin, a lot of people get confused about it but I don’t get bothered. I don’t owe anybody an explanation but when you meet me in person, you can always make up your mind"

What does she think of bleaching?

"Some people are naturally fair and the weather in Nigeria is terrible, it is just recently that we have been experiencing cool weather. The sun is usually very hot and it is bad for the skin. For someone like me, a lot of people are usually confused when they see my picture. They are quick to assume things and they do not know me personally. When you see people in pictures, don’t be too quick to judge, do you know how many lights are focused on the person while taking the picture? Because of the weather in this country, there are some lotions people use to enhance their skin and make it softer. There are some lotions that are not harmful but people have some misconception. The weather is very bad and it can affect one’s skin if care is not taken. I have friends that are fair in complexion and I know what they go through to maintain their complexion. If you do not maintain it, it would appear as if yourskin is dirty. I don’t believe people should bleach personally." she said

Happiness is the Truth:Toyosi Phillips

On my flight back to New York recently, I Googled, “Is it OK to be this happy?”
It goes without saying that I was stupidly happy at that moment and had been
that way for a while. Funny thing is I couldn’t categorically say why.
I didn’t know if it was seeing/spending time with my mom that had me in that good
mood or if it was the credit alert I had just received or if it was the aftermath
of spending time with my “big sister’s” adorable baby. I didn’t know what it was…
I don’t know what it is because over a week later I’m still that happy. My heart is full.
The question now is, why did I have to google, “is it OK to be this happy?”?
Did a part of me think that wasn’t normal? Or perhaps that I didn’t deserve
that level of happiness? It made me wonder; how many people daily
suppress their happiness because they think it’s not normal? How many people
daily think they’ve done so much wrong and only deserve happiness in trickles
or they think about everything that’s not going right in their lives and listen to
The Voices- those ones that remind them that all their mates have good jobs
and they are still looking for an internship . The voices which say they’re
overweight and single; that level of happiness is only for people with
 husbands/wives and kids,
or that their rent will be due in a few days and they still haven’t come up
with the funds so that spark of happiness should be non-existent?
How many people have listened to those lies and put out the fire of
happiness blazing in them?
For anyone who has ever felt the need to ask the question, “is it OK to be this happy?”
the answer is a resounding YES! Not just because several articles on Google agree,
but because we all should be happy! Happiness keeps us optimistic.
A conscious decision to stay happy helps us make essential life-altering changes.
A conscious decision to stay happy renews our minds. We start seeing things differently.
It’s OK to feel like chuckling at the slightest thing, to feel a warmth in your
heart that you cannot explain and to sing out loud and laugh at the ridiculous
lyrics of songs. There’s nothing wrong with you. No, you’re not oblivious to the
issues you have to deal with and no, you’re not living in lala land.
You’re simply making a conscious decision not to be overwhelmed
by life and that is commendable.
So today I choose to be happy and I choose to stay happy, regardless.

Russian Man Commits Suicide Live on Skype while Spectators Watch

Skype Suicide Watchers Urged Victim - Go On, Do It
Sergey Kirilov
A 26-year-old Russian man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself live on Skype, while spectators cheered him on.
The man, Sergey Kirilov, announced his intentions to kill himself on social media, and invited people to watch him do it live on Skype, Daily Mail reports.

Police authorities investigating the case say they are surprised that instead of attempting to stop Kirilov from taking his own life, many encouraged him. Only one person tried to stop him.
One spectator said “If a man says he’s going to do something, he needs to do it,” and another said “Come on, are you ready yet? Go on – do it.”
Speaking on the incident, a police spokesperson said “It is beyond belief that people could watch this as a form of entertainment. We will be investigating everyone who watched this incident, especially those who urged him to carry it out who may be guilty of negligent homicide.”
