A woman in Ondo has been arrested and taken before a court in the state after she was accused of killing her lover, Vanguard reports.

23-year-old Ajowele Busayo, a primary school teacher, was said to have set one Anthony David on fire in the Basiri Area of Akure, the state capital.

The Prosecutor, ASP Ayodele Atandeyi, reportedly told the court that Awojele committed the crime on July 14 at about 9.00 a.m.

The victim was rushed to a hospital after the incident but he succumbed to his injuries and died.

The court has ordered that the suspect be remanded at theOlokuta prison pending the determination of the case
.

The Nigeria police say they will be sending sniffer dogs to the collapsed Synagogue 

building site to help search for victims who are believed to still be trapped under the rubble. 

As of today, the death toll has risen to 45 with 130 survivors.
