Angelina Jolie’s Dad Reveals He Wasn’t Invited to Her Wedding

Last week, BN brought you the news that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt had gotten married at a small chapel service in France, attended by close family and friends.
Apparently, Angelina Jolie’s dad, Jon Voight, was not one of the “close family” invited.
According to TMZ, Voight said the first time he heard about the wedding was last week Thursday as he was reading some news online.
However, he insists that he wasn’t hurt about not being invited to the wedding because “he wouldn’t have been able to go anyway,” as he had Emmy Awards commitments – he was nominated for an award.
Jolie has had a rocky relationship with her father over the years. Her parents split up when she was very young due to her father’s infidelities. She reconciled with her father at one point, but it didn’t work out, and they went their separate ways.
Lately, the father and daughter are working on their relationship but that did not extend to the wedding.

So, is it ever ok to not invite your parents for your wedding?

Musician Keri Hilson has been in a serious relationship with Congolese-Spanish NBA Star Serge Ibaka for a few years. Though their relationship has been on and off, the couple are currently together and regularly post coupled up photos on social media as well as attend major red carpet events together.

On Friday last week, Keri went on a mini-rant on twitter directed at women who vie for the attention of taken men specifically on social media. There have been many documented cases of celebrities and fans sharing sometimes explicit photos and messages on instagram and twitter. Based on her tweets, it seems as though Serge received questionable messages which he wisely shared with his girlfriend.

Billionaire Wife Dr. Shade Okoya: I Cook for my Husband Every Day

In a recent interview with City People, Dr. Folashade Okoya, (she received an honorary degree last week), the 37 year old mogul wife of Razaq Okoya, and Managing Director of Eleganza Fashion Products Limited answered some questions about her beauty regimen, lifestyle amongst others.

“Do you still cook for your husband?

Yes of course, and that is every day. I must enter kitchen every day. I make sure he is well taken care of. My husband likes varieties so I don’t just cook one food. He takes them in bits. This is one of the reasons you will never see me with artificial nails. I have never done that. Like the day you saw me at Sam Amuka’s son’s wedding, I just came back from site and had to come for an event with my husband.

On her beauty secret; what is your favorite colour and the secret of your beauty?

I love colours and my colour is yellow. For my beauty, I am naturally blessed with a nice skin and I have never used anything to alter it. I will say it’s God.”

Boko Haram invades Bama, meets resistance from Nigerian troops

Boko Haram militants this morning September 1st launched an attack on Bama, the largest city in Borno state with the aim of taking over the town. According to reports, the sect men arrived the town and started shooting mortars, RPGs and hurling grenades but they were fiercely resisted by Nigerian troops stationed in the village. According to Sahara Reporters, a fierce battle is currently going on there between the sect men and Nigerian troops.

The Emir of Bama and many of the residents have fled the city to the state capital, Maiduguri, to avoid being caught up in the crossfire. Bama is a very strategic city in Borno state with a lot of military hardware and it is believed that if the sect men capture Bama, it will be very easy for them to move into the state capital, Maiduguri.
