I like Jennifer Aniston. I once appeared with her on Oprah and it turned out to be her birthday. So afterwards, I sent her a mortar and pestle as a gift to help prepare her favourite guacamole. At an Oscars party a few weeks later, Jennifer came over to thank me. She was gracious, charming, warm and funny. In fact, an utter delight in every way and everything any Friends fan would hope Jennifer Aniston might be in real life.

Fire outbreak at an orphanage in South Africa kills seven

Seven people, mostly children, were killed in a fire outbreak at an orphanage in Durban, South Africa today July 14th. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. The ages of those killed range from four years to twenty-one years. Spokesperson of South Africa's Emergency Service EMS, Robert McKenzie, said that they received a call about the fire at around 2.20am.

Gunmen suspected to be militants attack a man in Ikorodu

Gunmen suspected to be militants from Niger Delta have reportedly been attacking some people in Ikorodu, Lagos State. A LIB reader sent in these photos and narrated how a man barely escaped their grasp on Tuesday, after they opened fire on his car while he was heading home at night.

Serious Train collision in Southern Italy leaves over 20 people dead

Two trains collided head-on in southern Italy today, killing at least 20 people, with dozens more hurt. The trains, each with four cars, collided as they passed through a grove of olive trees in the countryside outside Andria. 

According to reports, the line has only a single track, so the crash is probably due to either a signalling error or a mistake by one of the drivers.
