Paul Play Slams Etisalat With N200m Lawsuit

Nigerian hip-hop and R ‘n’ B singer, Paul I.K. Dairo, has dragged telecommunications service provider, Etisalat, before a Federal High Court in Lagos for allegedly infringing on his copyright Daily Independent reports.
The multiple award-winning artiste is asking Justice Chukwujeku Aneke to compel Etisalat to pay him N200 million for using his song, Mosorire in its popular reality series, Nigerian Idol, for two consecutive years without seeking his consent.

Chad Kills More Boko Haram, Foils Suicide Bomb Attempt

Chad’s army has said that said it killed 13 fighters from the Islamist militant group Boko Haram in the Nigerian town of Gambaru, Bornu State, while also saying two female suicide bombers attacked the Niger frontier town of Diffa on Wednesday, news agency Reuters reports.

Daily Trust reports that the assaulter ran into an uncompleted building located at the Tsohuwar Kasuwa area, and detonated an explosive device.
