Houthis 'beat and detain demonstrators' in Yemen

Anti-Houthi protesters and journalists attacked and several detained in capital, Sanaa.

Dozens of protesters marching in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, have been beaten back by Houthi rebels who control the capital, witnesses said.
The rebels fired automatic rifles in the air and struck the anti-Houthi protesters with batons and knives, AP news agency reported on Wednesday.

Report says US journalist in Iran to face trial 'soon'

A Washington Post journalist detained in Iran for more than six months will stand trial "soon," the Islamic Republic's official news agency reported.
The report, published by the IRNA news agency on Wednesday, said Gholam Hossein Esmaeili, a senior judicial official, issued the statement but it did not say when the trial would start.
"Jason Rezaian will be tried soon,'' Esmaeili was quoted as saying.

Google: Impossible to filter all YouTube "terror"

PDP Youths Launch Campaign Against Electoral Violence

In a bid to prevent a violence prone elections during next month’s all important general elections across Nigeria, the Youth Mobilisation of Goodluck Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation on Wednesday launched “Say No To Electoral Violence Initiative” in Sokoto, northern Nigeria.
The event, which took place at the town hall meeting in the caliphate city of Sokoto, was attended by many dignitaries which included the National youth leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt Hon.
