Jonathan's Campaign Committee Member Joins APC

Barely three weeks before next month’s presidential elections, another bigwig of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa State, Senator Felix Oboro, has left the ruling party for the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
According to Thisday newspaper report online, Sen. Oboro, a member of Jonathan’s Presidential Campaign Committee in Bayelsa, decamped to the APC on Friday.
It was disclosed that the Senator, who was Nigeria’s former ambassador to Venezuela, was conspicuously absent during the swearing in of members of the presidential campaign committee in Bayelsa by Governor Seriake Dickson.
It was gathered that Sen. Oboro was welcomed to the APC by the leader of the party in Bayelsa, Chief Timipre Sylva.

Speaking at the event, Sylva stated that with political leaders leaving the PDP in droves that the ruling party was gradually heading for collapse.

Jonathan Visits Borno Today For Presidential Campaign

Less than two weeks after visiting Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, President Goodluck Jonathan will visit the state again today to campaign for next month’s election.
It would be recalled Jonathan’s visit to Maiduguri on January 15, 2015, was to show support for Nigerian soldiers serving in the state in commemoration with the Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
The President had been criticised in recent times for not visiting the Boko Haram insurgency-ridden state.
According to Punch newspaper report online, the President would use the opportunity of the visit to unfold plans to tackle the Boko Haram militant sect.

Celebrities Visit EiE's Event For Election Debates 2015

Nigerian celebrities visited an opening party of an advocacy group, Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE Nigeria), where the plans for the debate series of the forthcoming 2015 general elections were announced.

PDP Plans To Attack General Buhari Tomorrow In Ondo—APC

Oyedele said that some aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), threatened by the fast-rising popularity of Buhari in the southwest states have concluded "calculated plans" by organizing youths to attack the convoy that would accompanied its presidential candidate.  The All Progressives Congress (APC) party in Ondo State says it had uncovered plans by members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to attack its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.), who would be visiting Akure, the capital city tomorrow (Saturday).

State Coordinator of the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO) disclosed this to a SaharaReporters correspondent in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Friday afternoon.
