Ekiti APC Secretariat Attached By Gunmen


The All Progressives Congress Party secretariat in Ado-Ekiti was attacked Wednesday night by gunmen and destroyed the flags and posters of the party’s candidates.

According to the state Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, in a statement issued, the gunmen came in four Hilux vehicles and a car to unleash the pandemonium.
“Shortly before they arrived, streetlights along Ajilosun Street where the APC secretariat is located were switched off. The hoodlums wounded the security man at the gate of the APC office,” the statement said.

Five policemen have been arrested for allegedly taking a bribe of N150,000 from a suspected fraudster.

The police officers attached to the Anti-Robbery Squad of the Area M Police Command repoertedly had arrested the complainant, identified only as Ifeanyi, for allegedly engaging in internet fraud.
He was said to have been led to the nearest ATM to make a withdrawal so as to be free of the accusation.
